The SENATE President, David Mark, on Tuesday, said the world must unite against terrorist acts being perpetrated by Boko Haram and other terror groups across the world. Mark, in a speech read on his behalf at the  Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting holding in Geneva, Switzerland, by the chairman, Senate Inter-parliamentary Committee, Senator Abdulaziz Usman, said the world needed to fight terror to be able to end  needless violence against women.Speaking on the theme of the 131st IPU, centered on ending violence against women and promoting gender equality, Mark said women were mostly victims of terror attacks, a situation, he said, called for urgent action to end terrorism. Mark also told the global parliamentary summit that the world must remain vigilant against the Ebola virus disease, adding that Nigeria was able to contain the epidemic through collective efforts and unity of purpose.
