A Police Superintendent, Cletus Oke, his wife and his 18-year-old daughter were kidnapped by gunmen in Abia state on Saturday. According to reports, the incident happened at about 8:30pm on Saturday in Osusu Abala village in Isiala Ngwa area of the state.
Though it was not clear what transpired between the police officer and the gunmen, report has it that after beating him, the kidnappers whisked away his wife and daughter in his Volvo car to an unknown destination.Also last Thursday, a woman and her two children were also kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Ohuru village in Obingwa area of the state.It was gathered that the victim’s SUV was later recovered by the police at Owerrinta in Isiala Ngwa as police assured that efforts were already in place to ensure the immediate and unconditional release of the woman and her children
