Police arrest 4 for duping couple of N14.5m in Ogun -


MINNA —  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has  arrested  30 in connection with sales and usage of banned drugs in Niger State.Eight of them were said to be notorious drug dealers while 22 others were users of the hard drugs.
The  arrests were made when the agency carried out a raid in some joints  in Suleija Local Government Area of the state,  last weekend.Areas raided include Yan Gon Gon, by IBB Market, behind Diamond Bank; new Kwata by abattoir; old Engineering Barracks, Kantoma and old Minna Garage.Thirty one kilogrammes of dried weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa and other psycho-active drugs were recovered from the drug dealers.The state Commander of the NDLEA, Mallam Abdullahi Abdul, who confirmed the arrests described Yan Gon Gon, New Kwata and old Engineering Barracks as dreaded areas, saying  they were no go areas for residents of the town.The commander linked various violent crimes in Suleja and adjoining towns to the suspects and vowed that the exercise would be a continuous one to bring sanity to the town and its environs.
