No Ebola Patient In Ebonyi State – Commissioner

Following the false alarm raised by a doctor working with the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (FETHA 2) over a suspected Ebola patient in the state, the Ebonyi State government yesterday debunked rumours of the presence of an Ebola patient or the outbreak of the disease in the state.
The state was in the early hours of yesterday thrown into panic following a false alarm which LEADERSHIP gathered was raised by a doctor in the hospital while treating a patient who was manifesting symptoms similar to Ebola.The rumour caused doctors, nurses and patients to scamper out of the hospital premises.But in a swift reaction, the commissioner for health, Dr Sunday Nwangele debunked the rumours and urged the public to disregard it.
