Man Caught Stealing Meat From Neighbour's Pot

A man, identified as Sylvanus (surname withheld) in Asaba, Delta State, was yesterday beaten to stupor by angry mob after he was allegedly caught stealing meat in a neigbour’s pot of soup.
Reports said that the incident, which took place around Ogbe-Osowe quarters in Asaba, attracted members of the public who watched the 42-year-old man confessing to the crime after being beaten.It was gathered that the suspect has been arrested severally by the police for related offence.Before the incident, our informed sources said the suspect had a brush with his girlfriend who was said to have accused him of stealing her money from her bag.The suspect was said to have been caught for stealing the meat in the soup and in the attempt to quickly swallow it.
