Man docked for robbing policeman of AK47 rifle, ammunition


Lagos—A 20-year-old man, Adebola Oladipo, was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, for robbing a policeman, Bethuel Thomas, of his AK47 rifle and 30 rounds of live ammunition.
Count two read: “That you Adebola Oladipupo and others now at large on May 31, 2014, at about
8.45pm  at T Junction, Epe, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District did rob one Bethuel Thomas of his AK47 rifle and 30 rounds of live ammunition.”Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man, Shaibu Charles, yesterday pleaded guilty to the accusation that he threatened to kill one Inspector Simeon Nwoke by word of mouth and intimidation, after he was arraigned before an  Ikeja Magistrate’s Court.The accused, who was arraigned on a three count charge bordering on threat to life and breach of public peace, pleaded guilty to the offences read to him in English language.
