Thugs suspected loyal to All Progressives Congress APC Monday evening in Ile-Ife, Osun State, reportedly unleashed violence on supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Senator Iyiola Omisore.Witnesses told pointblanknews.com that violence erupted shortly after an APC rally in the ancient town.   Thugs brandishing cudgels and sticks reportedly attacked houses dorning posters of the

PDP candidate.Witnesses alleged that the thugs were led by one APC chieftain, Hon Seyi Makinde. The police had a few weeks ago raided Makinde’s home.Several PDP supporters were reportedly injured in the attack.As at the time of this report, the police were battling to bring the situation under control.
