Chibok Girls: Security Operatives Prevent BBOG From Entering Aso Rock

Security operatives at the presidential villa yesterday, stopped the BringBackOurGirls group from entering Aso Rock as they barricaded the villa gate, thereby halting a peaceful protest for the demand of the rescue of the over 200 Chibok school girls abducted 84 days ago.
The BBOG group marched on an impromptu protest on to the Presidency to further bring to point the issue of the Chibok girls who were abducted by the Boko Haram sect and until now, are yet to be rescued.
The group, which hurriedly organised the protest in the middle of its 68th sit out, stated that the continued stay of the Chibok girls in the hands of the sect members was no longer acceptable and hence, the need for the protest.

Members of the group, who were worried that the girls were still in the Sambisa Forest, stood singing solidarity songs until their leaders, including Dino Melaye came back with the report that the message of the protesters would be conveyed to the necessary authority as no one was on ground to attend to them.

“The people here said the ministers or any other senior officer were not on ground to speak with us. They have collected our numbers and have promised to convey our message to their superior. They promised to get back to us,” the group said.

The group, who expressed indifference to the outcome of the protest, however, noted that its members would continue to sit out and protest till the day the girls were rescued.
