Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji has revealed that he has no intention of ever controling his successor, Okezie Ikpeazu, but rather allow him use his discretion to run the state.Governor Orji said this during a courtsey visit from the Ukwa Peoples Assembly at the Government House, Umuahia.He assured the people that immediately his tenure ends, he is off from the state except on invitations.He also said that he doesn’t want people to think that he is tele-guiding anyone in the upcomming administration.
He said that the people have already made their choice and Ikpeazu deserves to be given a free hand to govern the state.He asked the people to work with Ikpeazu for the solid improvement of the state.
Orji said: “As the first Ukwa Ngwa governor he knows the enormous expectation of the people on him” .
Theodore Orji was once accused of being a stooge to former Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu during the start of his tenure, so he knows best as to get back into the terrain of Abia politics after May 29.
