A mild drama ensued at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)election result collation centre in Abuja yesterday when a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accused INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega of compromise.Godsday Orubebe, a former Minister of the Niger Delta, took hold of the microphone at the centre and sat on the stage while criticizing Jega’s handling of the result collation.
“Jega you have been compromised, we are no longer confident in you,” Orubebe said while causing a scene at the centre.
Other delegates surrounded Orubebe where he sat but he refused to let go of the microphone and continued his tirade.
The ex-Minister also accused Jega of handing out results to theAll Progressives Congress (APC) to publish on its site.
Orubebe is the governorship candidate of the PDP for Delta State.
Orubebe's Wikipedia page was immediately updated to read as a 'toutish man who disrupted the hearings, accusing INEC Chairman Jega of tribalism and partiality in the election process' and further as 'a disgrace to his children'. It has however been updated and re-edited
