21 more Nigerians on death row in Indonesia - Abike Dabiri


The Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora matters, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said their are more Nigerians waiting to be executed in Indonesia. Speaking on Channels TV News, Hon Abike said a federal government delegation in which she was part of in 2008 visited Indonesia and found there were 21 Nigerians who were on death row in Indonesia for drug related offenses. She said nothing can be done as its the law in Indonesia. She said every 5m you walk, a sign is displayed saying the penalty for drug trafficking is death

Telling us all this story...d question is,,what is our legislators doing to help prevent nigerians from doing drugs...because back home,,even federal jobs is now base on contract staffing,,private firms used us as animals n pay so little as salary n yet we hv law makers ....if legislators will sit up n do d right thing then d executive will hv no choice than to do the right things also....

The problem we have in Nigeria is that everyone,both the rich and the poor want get something from Nigeria,but no one is thinking how to add or do something for Nigeria.Let us learn to say positive things about our country Nigeria,not only negative things all the time.Other countries in Africa value their country,they can do any thing to protect the image of their country,but they are not better than Nigeria.They are still facing the same corruption.For change to come we need to start by confessing positive things about our country Nigeria,and also appreciate God for the country Nigeria.
