In what could be described as Evidence Campaign, thousands of youth
delegates and volunteers have flooded the streets of Awka in a ROAD SHOW
to present themselves to the public as products of President Jonathan’s
transformation Agenda on Youth Enterprise.This is coming at the end of a two day Extraordinary National Summit
of 492 delegates consisting of beneficiaries of the federal
government’s YouWiN and SURE-P Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) from
across the states of the federation, which was convened by the Youth
Enterprise Transformation Ambassadors (YETA) in order to develop
strategies to help ensure the re-election of President Jonathan.
Performed against the hate campaign being spread in some quarters
that the administration of Jonathan did nothing for youths, the
pro-Jonathanians were seen in various groups displaying banners, sharing
out fliers, chanting solidarity songs, and preaching to masses in the
streets on the need to vote for President Jonathan come February 14,
2015 for continuity.Addressing journalists, the spokesperson of the youth groups and
National Coordinator of YETA, Ezenekwe Elochukwu, revealed the reasons
behind the massive support for Mr President.In his words: “We can no longer remain silent. No, that would be grave injustice to Mr. President, to Nigerians and even posterity. Having individually secured the YouWiN entrepreneurship grant of up to 10m naira, and also benefiting from the SURE-P project of the federal government, we are coming out to show ourselves to people in the streets, and speak so as to enable Nigerians make better appraisal of Mr President’s achievements and thereby vote for continuity.“We are doing this road show today in Awka, but this is just the tip of the iceberg compared to the strategies we mapped out at our just concluded Extraordinary National Summit. There were about 492 delegates from all the states in Nigeria and they are beginning to return to their localities, and within the coming days we shall light up the streets of every major town and city across the length and breadth of Nigeria with our testimonies”The group urged for collaboration with well-meaning individuals and Support Groups of President Jonathan in order to boost their capacity to deliver on their
