Following the attacks on Charlie Hebdo in Paris, many people have defended the satirical magazine for publishing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.The Pope said on Thursday in relation to the events that violence in the name of religion can never be justified, but that there are “limits” to freedom of expression.“Many people badmouth religion, mock it, and play with other people’s religion.“It can happen, but there are limits, every religion has dignity, every religion that respects life and human beings has a dignity, and you cannot mock it,”he added.Pope Francis warned that he was ready to “punch” anyone who insulted his mother.By way of example, Pope Francis referred to Alberto Gasparri, who organises papal trips and was standing by his side aboard the papal plane.

Francis said,throwing a pretend punch his way.of Charlie Hebdo magazine.It will be recalled that a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad holding a card saying “Je Suis Charlie” appeared on the cover of Charlie Hebdo magazine.The front cover of the French satirical magazine is a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad. The prophet is shedding a tear and holding up a sign reading “Je suis Charlie” in sympathy with the dead journalists. The headline says “All is forgiven”.
