President and founder of the Living Faith Church worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has described the current turbulent times and religious extremism the world is facing, as a sign of the end time. The cleric, who made this declaration during the opening service of his ministry’s annual Shiloh event, which started on Tuesday, based his statement on Biblical truths, which, according to him, are rifer more than ever before, alluding to the negative effect of ISIS in the Middle-East...
In a message, entitled, “Heralding the era of Heaven on Earth,” the 60-year old preacher also identified the existence of two heavens, namely earthly or temporal and eternal, asserting that heaven simply connotes dominion. The five-day gathering, which is christened “Heaven on Earth,” was declared open by the Presiding Bishop, Oyedepo, amid cheers from his teeming followers as other parishes around the world joined the live telecast.According to him, the end-time is a mixed season.
“We are in the end time; it is trying time for the world, and triumph for the church. It is a day of reproach and shame for the world,” Bishop Oyedepo told the crowd, including 43 other nations that were represented.Quoting from the book of Exodus 10:22-23, the Apostle of faith, however, posited that such times had no consequences on the redeemed of the Lord, whose case is different:
“There was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: they saw not one another, neither rose any from his place three days: but the children of Israel had light in their dwellings,” he quoted.
