Dimgba Igwe to be buried on October 11

Mr Dimgba Igwe, the Vice Chairman of Sun Publishing Newspapers,will be buried on 11 October, his family announced today. Mr Hanson Igwe, the deceased’s elder brother, said the burial programme would start with a funeral service at his residence in Okota, Lagos, on Oct. 4.

The statement issued in Abuja said that the funeral service would hold at the deceased’s hometown in Okafia, Igbere, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia. The late journalist and Fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), was knocked down by a fast moving vehicle while he was jogging around his residence in the Okota area of Lagos on 6 September. The 58-year-old passed away at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) from injuries sustained.
