An eyewitness, Joshua disclosed that when people noticed that the high tension wire fell, everyone around took to their heels, adding that some people even left their husbands or wives behind as they ran for their lives.He said he and others who had witnessed the incident had to deter people from running towards the scene.Joshua said he nearly became a victim because he was close to the spot where the mechanic was killed.Confirming the story to LEADERSHIP Weekend, the Lagos State police public relations officer, DSP Ngozi Braide said the incident occurred on July 27, 2014, around 3pm at a mechanic workshop.
She said the victim, Lukman Ayinla was under the bus trying to effect repairs when the high voltage wire fell on the vehicle and he was electrocuted.
Braide said his corpse has been deposited at Badagry
