JUST IN: Constitution amendment: Senate suspends move to override Jonathan

The Senate on Wednesday suspended moves to override the power of President Goodluck Jonathan to assent the amendment to the 1999 Constitution, forwarded to him by the National Assembly.

The legislators announced this at the end of a closed-door meeting the members held on Wednesday in Abuja.
