Appoint spiritual adviser, retired General advises Buhari

A retired General, Alphonsus Chukwu has recommended a six-point agenda for President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, advising him to appoint a spiritual adviser in line with what obtains in the United States of America, USA.

He also tasked the in-coming government to, as a matter of urgency, reduce the movement in convoy by government officials to save cost.

General Chukwu further advised that the President-elect should strengthen the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies by encouraging the enlistment of more youths.

According to him, ”Buhari should encourage graduates to join the armed forces as recruits by offering them good salaries and encouraging community policing in the country as soon as possible.”

Commending President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat, General Chukwu noted that, contrary to expectations that the elections would plunge the nation into chaos, it rather produced a President-elect in an election generally adjudged as free and fair while international observers described the results as credible.

“Apart from being adjudged as free and fair, the President even conceded defeat ever before the results were conclusive. That is why is it obvious that the visible peace which reigns in the country before, during and after the election is from God and not the act of man,”he said.
