Leaked Tape: Fayose Confesses To Partaking In Meeting

The controversial audio about last year’s alleged election rigging in Ekiti State which surfaced online about a week ago has been trailed with a lot of controversies.Fresh reports on Sahara Reporters indicates that the governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has finally confessed to being a part of the secret meeting where politicians led by former minister of state for defense, Musiliu Obanikoro met with army officers led by a Brigadier General to plot how to rig last year’s governorship election in the state. The plot was to rig the elections in favour of Fayose, who was the governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).While speaking at an event in Ekiti, Fayose made reference to the leaked tape, saying he was the one chastising the army general for compromising. He said: “If you listen at the tape, whatever they sent round about military rigging in Ekiti, listen to that program, you will see that I was the one accusing the army of compromise. Listen to audio below: https://soundcloud.com/sola-salako
Listen, take time to listen.“But they will come back with propaganda and saying it all as if the whole world of propaganda belongs to them.”This is in contrast to his earlier stance that the tape was manufactured with the aid of a voice software. When the tape first surfaced he had said he never held any meeting with anyone to rig the June 21, 2014 election, adding that his voice & those of others could have been falsified using technology like Natural Voices.
