For the meantime, the re-registration of voters for the 2015 general elections was marred by conflict in ward 13 of Obio-Akpor Local government area of Rivers state.One Wonodi Kingsley who is the APC chairman of ward 13 alleged that he was harassed and assaulted by members of the opposition party, PDP in the area.
Kingsley narrated his ordeal saying youths numbering more than ten rounded him and used fire works popularly known as knock-outs on him.Reacting to the assault, organizing secretary of the APC in the area, Chukuma Okani condemned the act and called on the police to stop political rascality as the elections draws close
