Abia indigenes in Diaspora honour Governor T.A Orji


Abia State indigenes resident in the United Kingdom and Ireland have honoured Governor Theodore Orji with an award of prudent management in governance. They said the numerous legacy projects in Abia and peace and security in the State were reasons for the award, which took place at the prestigious Royal Thames Yard Knightsbridge over the weekend. Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, his Special Adviser on Diaspora matters, Chief Kingsley Megwara thanked the organization for the honour, affirming his principal’s commitment to uplift the wellbeing of Abians.
In his remarks, Nigeria High Commission in the UK, Alhaji Tafida praised the effort of Orji on peace building and good governance efforts.
He commended the organizers for recognizing excellence in governance.
The event was attended by prominent Nigerians in the UK, including a leading figure of Nigerians the UK, Dr. Bimbo Folayan, Vice Chairman of Igbo World Chairman UK, Chief Christian Onuora, among many others.
