Wonders:Suspected Okada thief jumps into Osun river


There was a mild drama, at the weekend, at Osunjela, in Atakumosa West local government area of Osun State, when a suspected robber jumped into Osun river after a botched attempt to steal a motorcycle.  The incident, which drew the attention of passers-bye and residents of the community was said to have occurred around 5.30 pm on Thursday evening.  Our sources authoritatively gathered that two suspected thieves had trailed the owner of the motorcycle to a bushy area in Osunjela community, where he parked to ease himself. Their suspicious moves to make away with the motorcycle subsequently attracted a palm wine tapper, who raised an alarm. Apparently sensing that they may be apprehended, one of the suspected hoodlums jumped into the Osun River in a bid to evade arrest. But, luck however, ran out on him, when passersby, who were good at swimming, eventually picked him up and beat him blue and black.
