“I don’t regret not re-signing Fabregas” – Wenger


Arsene Wenger has insisted he does not regret refusing to sign Cesc Fabregas in the summer. The Spanish midfielder moved to Chelsea from Barcelona for £27million in June and has stacked up an impressive number of assists for Jose Mourinho’s side. Fabregas, who played for the Gunners for eight years before moving back to Barcelona in 2011, revealed Wenger chose not to re-sign him because he had a plethora of attacking players. The Frenchman has spoken about his reluctance to do the transfer and expressed optimism that his team will catch up with Chelsea.Continue...
“I don’t regret not taking Cesc because we already had a lot of creative players in our midfield,” Wenger told beIN Sports. “Chelsea will also have a difficult period [in the season]. Our schedule was extremely difficult and I have the belief that we can close the gap to them.”
Now the question is did Wenger make the right choice of not re-signing Cesc Fabregas and do you also believe Arsenal have midfielders who are better than players Cesc?
