CULTISM: Police Arrest 37 Cultists During Initiation Of New Members

The police in Bomadi community in collaboration with Bomadi Vigilante Group, Delta State, have arrested no fewer than 37 suspected cult members of various cult groups in the area and killed three robbery suspects in the last two weeks in an operation tagged, ‘operation flush out criminals’.Reports said that the suspects were arrested in their hideout during the initiation of new members when the police who got wind of their activities moved into the base to round them up.
It was reliably gathered that Bomadi communities have been under siege of bizarre activities allegedly perpetrated by various cult group members, in most cases leaving the residents to sleep with one eye opened. But DSP Celestina Kalu, the police public relations officer in the state, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, disclosed that some of the suspects were apprehended after a fierce clash between rival cult group in the community, warning parents and guidance to be wary and monitor activities of their children particularly cultists to avoid the wrath of the law.
