Police arrest two robbery suspects, recover gun

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers, Rasaki Baale and Ugochukwu Dike, in the Oke-Ira, Ogba area of the state.PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects were arrested by policemen from the Area G Command, Ogba.It was gathered that a locally-made gun was recovered from the suspects after the arrest.continue...
During a visit to Baale’s residence, one of his daughters, who did not identify herself, told PUNCH Metro that her father had gone to the police area command to see Dike, who was initially arrested.She added that he went to the station to see Dike, who was his son’s friend, only for the police to also arrest him.She said, “The gun was caught with the other man, not with Baale. The other man is called Ugo. Baale never uses a gun.The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said the case was under investigation at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Department, Yaba.
She said, “On September 4, policemen attached to the Area G, Ogba, while on patrol at Oke-Ira arrested two suspected armed robbers, Ugochukwu Dike and Rasaki Baale.”
