Factional president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ambassador Chris Giwa has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Giwa was reportedly whisked away from his Abuja home by officials of the financial grafts body to answer cases on the transactions of a close associate of his.According to Africanfootball, one of Giwa’s associates, is involved in a financial misconduct; the associate between the months of January and June this year was on a financial scale of N 300,000 but, his records as at June and August has skyrocketed to N 250 million
Giwa is been questioned as to the operations of that associate, and 19 others have been called to present their financial statements
It is believed that money had been transferred into the accounts of these 19 people which include an ex-international who is a part of the six-man ad-hoc board set up by Giwa to run the premier league after the suspension of Nduka Irabor and his LMC board.
