The FIR stated that “On August 20, 2014, one Hassan Hautta of Fulani Camp, Sekun Village, Share, reported that two of his children, Harun and Bature Hassan, had taken their cattle to graze in some grasslands along Sekun Village, where you, Adamu Abdullahi, of the same area, attacked them and callously used your cutlass and matcheted Hassan Haruna on his head.“You also went ahead and matcheted the helpless boy, cut off his left hand above the wrist, and also [cut him in the neck] and left him in a pool of blood, which led to his untimely death.“After committing the crime you took to your heels before you were later arrested by the police. You thereby committed the above offence”.The suspect pleaded guilty to the charge preferred against him.The police prosecutor, Abdullahi Sanni, told the court that the suspect had admitted to the offence during police investigation.The trial Magistrate, Mrs. S. B. Olanipekun, however ordered the remand of the accused at the Federal Maximum Prison, Madalla, Niger State, while the case was adjourned till September 15, for further mention.

16-year-old Remanded For Callously Butchering Boy To Death
