Sierra Leone sacks health minister over Ebola outbreak


The president of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, has fired the country’s Minister of Health, Miatta Kargbo, over her handling of the Ebola epidemic that has has led to the death 400 people in the West African country.
A statement released by the presidency on Friday said that Kargbo was sacked “to create a conducive environment for efficient and effective handling of the Ebola outbreak”. The statement went further to say that Kargbo has since been replaced by her deputy, Dr Abubakarr Fofanah
